INCREASE IN GENERAL AND PROFESSIONAL MINIMUM WAGES BY THE YEAR 2025
The President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, announced that the minimum wage for 2025 will have an increase of 12 percent throughout the country, as it will increase from 248.93 to 278.80 pesos per day in the General Minimum Wage Zone and in the Free Zone of the Northern Border will go from 374.89 to 419.88 pesos per day, thereby advancing the objective of each worker being able to access to 2.5 times the basic basket by 2030.
The minimum professional salaries of the list made up of 61 professions, trades and special jobs will also receive an increase.
The increase in general minimum wages is integrated from the minimum wage in force in 2024, plus the sum of an Independent Recovery Amount (MIR).
These increases are intended to recover the purchasing power of the minimum wage and should not be used as a reference to set increases in other salaries in force in the labor market.
