PUBLICATION IN THE OFFICIAL GAZETTE OF THE INCREASE IN THE GENERAL AND PROFESSIONAL MINIMUM WAGES FOR THE YEAR 2025

Following up on our previous newsletter, we inform you that last Wednesday, December 19, 2024, the publication was made in the Official Gazette of the Federation -DOF-, of the minimum wages that will be in force as of January 1, 2025.
Thus, they will increase by 12% in the two zones, that is, in the “Northern Border Free Zone” and in the “General Minimum Wage Zone”; Therefore, they will be 419.88 pesos per day per day of work in the geographical area of the “Northern Border Free Zone”, whose increase is made up of 19.36 pesos, and for the “General Minimum Wage Zone” the
The minimum wage will be 278.80 pesos per day, per daily work day.
The minimum professional salaries of the list made up of 61 professions, trades and special jobs will also receive an increase of 12%.
The increase in general minimum wages is integrated from the minimum wage in force in 2024, plus the sum of an Independent Recovery Amount (MIR), which in the case of general wages is 12.85 pesos plus a 6.5% increase.
